Within implementation of the Memorandum of cooperation between Ministry of health and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, medical universities of Kazakhstan and Dundee University (Great Britain) on the basis of the Kazakh National medical university of S.Zh.Asfendiyarova held on February 19-20, 2015 a seminar of professor Jean S. Kerr (Cachia Jean Scott, Dundee University, Great Britain) on a subject: «Definition of need of Primary medical sanitary care for Kazakhstan: preparation of VOP». Took part in work of a seminar the director of the department of science and human resources of Ministry of health and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Syzdykova A.A., representatives of medical universities (KAZNMU of S.Zh.Asfendiyarova, JSC Medical University Astana, the Karaganda State medical university, the State medical university of. Semey, the West Kazakhstan State medical university of M. Ospanov, the Southern Kazakhstan State pharmaceutical academy, the Kazakh medical university continuous education), representatives of Managements of health care of Astana, Almaty, East Kazakhstan region, Kyzylorda area, North Kazakhstan area, Mangistau area (the practicing general practitioners, nurses).
Participants of a seminar examined practical experience of Scotland (Public Service Health care of Scotland, Royal college GP in Great Britain), discussed questions and needs of teachers of GP, questions of creation highly effective team work, providing safety of the patient, the GP profile, trends in health care and medical education. The list of the opportunities demanded from the general practitioner in Kazakhstan on the basis of experience in health system, possible ways of change of Primary medical sanitary care in Kazakhstan was defined.
