On 23, November “Round table” talk look place in the Center of Communicative Skills as well as the Department of communicative skills, basics of psychotherapy, general and medical psychology among the participants were Dr. Walter Hanklosky, Professor of Media Arts, Associated Director of “Center for Teaching Excellence” from South Carolina University, Professor M.A. Assimov, K.O. Kozhamzharova, Sh.S. Mardanova, T.A. Zhakanova, S.T. Ernazarova, R.N. Alibaeva, G.P. Absatarova, Zh.T. Makhambetova, A.O. Kurbanova, Zh.A. Satekova.
They discussed such points as problems of teaching and training of clinic psychologist and social workers in medical service; as well as the importance of developing the medical service staff’s communication competence while being trained. Prof. Walter Hanklosky suggested working out the program “Doctor and society” together with the stuff from the Center of Communicative Skills and the Department of communicative skills, basics of psychotherapy, general and medical psychology. Such a program prof. Walter Hanklosky is aware, should be based on such subjects as communication psychology and cognitive-behavior psychology. This program is to help to form doctors’ communicative skills based on psychology – social principles; into consideration should be taken not only some specific features of the profession of a doctor, but the difference between urban and rural regions.
