There was the Fourth annual International Winter School on «Leadership in Health Care»
In the School of Public Health named after H. Dosmukhamedov of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov from 14 to 18 January 2013. Fourth Annual International School was opened by rector of the KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov professor Akanov A.A. Winter School participants were also welcomed by the President of JSC «Nutrition Academy» academician of the National academy of sciences and Russian academy of medical sciences, doctor of medical sciences, professor Sharmanov T.S. and Certified professional coach, Kingston University, Business Expert, Management Consultant, Neff Consulting Berlin, Check Point Business Instructor Author of the book «A New Step in the lead-out of the crisis», adopted in the curriculum MNG 9410 «Advanced Leadership Courses» MBA students in the Kingston University, Zholumbetov Bektas Muhametzhanovich.
Deputy Director of School of Public Health named after H. Dosmukhamedov Turdalieva BS voiced the main purpose and objectives of the Fourth Annual International Winter School.
During the Winter School participants were trained in «Subordinate cube for Leadership in Management», «Pyramid power for management decisions».
Participants of the trainings learned to successfully apply the principles and laws of building relationships with people who hold different positions, the secrets of the expansion of its competence, professionalism and career growth.
Training «Subordinate cube for Leadership in Management» was held for 3 days. 1st day consisted of four parts: introductory lecture: «What is the Subordinate cube?», Developments in the 1st plane «The relationship with the leadership,» skills in 2nd plane «Relationships with colleagues,» developments in the third plane «relationship with employees.»
The second and third day consisted of four parts: developments in the 4th plane «Relationships with customers, consumers,» developments in the 5th plane «Relationships with partners,» developments in the 6th plane «relations with competitors,» mini-session and as summarizing. We used the following categories of educational techniques: «Unusual Job» —
«Left Hand», «bottom up», «front-back, left hand», «Bottom-up, rear-Front,» «The Palm», «eyes closed.» Technique «A result» — jobs «One Landscape», «History of Names», «Advantages and disadvantages», «History of birth.»On the fourth and fifth days the training «Pyramid power for management decisions» was held. Criteria for taking decisions and map of problem classifications were discussed.
Participants pointed out the importance of conducting such events, significance of leadership in healthcare and high quality of trainings they have attended. A tour of the city of Almaty was organized by the group of volunteers from Youth Center on Health.
All participants were awarded certificates and letters of appreciation. There were 47 people who participated in the Winter school.
