ON1 Understand health care concepts: basic definitions, models and concepts of health and disease; definitions of Public Health; critical aspects of the history of public health theory and practice.
ОN2 Understand and apply epidemiological skills and make effective use of epidemiological surveillance systems: understand the principles, content, reliability and application of standards in data collection to determine health outcomes; understand epidemiological surveillance, basic principles, methods, types and components as an assessment of basic demographic and epidemiological parameters; know the most commonly used qualitative methods used in public health and organizations.
ON3 Effective use of information technologies: analyze, critically and effectively use IT tools in public health, including statistical software.
ON4 Think critically and effectively present information: apply critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems and make science-based decisions to improve results and quality of work; be able to present data and information effectively.
ON5 Perform research, interpret information and make decisions based on evidence: can perform simple research in public health, effectively interpret data from databases and/or research results, evaluate the quality of publication and make a scientifically based decision.
ON6 Promote health as a lifestyle: understand and effectively use behavioral models at the individual and population levels; use skills to implement and strengthen programs and projects for the prevention of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
ОN7 Effectively communicate information: using all modern communication channels, effectively communicate information on the promotion of health and emergency preparedness to the population.
ON8 To understand the role of social and economic factors and the role of the environment in health: Based on the information of epidemiological surveillance systems (national, WHO, HFA and other Internet systems) available on the network to prepare epidemiological and bio-statistical documentation (simple analysis, tables, figures, etc.) on the relationship between the socio-economic environment and the health of the population of Kazakhstan and the world; to identify the main trends of social change with reference to demography, social structure, economic and technological progress.
ON9 Understand interactions: To understand how the political and economic situation in the country and the world affects the development of health care, the supply of medical services and health services for the population
ON10 Effective planning: effectively plan and manage projects, taking into account economic planning, human resource management and using modern methods of management and control.
ON11 Improvement through the use of modern technologies: able to optimally, in accordance with current trends and development, to use innovative technologies in practice.
