From September 29 to October 1, 2011 in the Palace of Independence in Astana there was The Third Islamic Conference of ministry of healthcare with the participation of 400 delegates from 56 countries, international organizations, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, the Global Fund to fight HIV / AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, non-governmental international organizations. In the framework of the conference an exhibition-presentation of Kazakhstan’s achievements in healthcare was organized. There was the exposition of 42 medical organizations such as research centers, scientific-research institutes, manufacturing associations, educational institutions.
The conference was attended by a delegation of KazNMU named after C.D. Asfendiarov headed by the rector Akanov A.A.
