Non profit JSC «Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical Univesity» was chosen as a partner University in Erasmus + Programme co-funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) project «SPRING Setting Peer Review Instruments and Goals for Medical (health) education 609528-EPP-1-2019-1-GE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP» which will be implemented from 2020 to 2022.The overall aim of the proposed project is to enhance the quality of medical education in the involved partner countries and contribute to the onset of changes of the same character in the rest of former Soviet countries.
General objectives:
1.Raising awareness on peer review process as an effective instrument for substantiating ongoing improvements in academic and administrative domains of medical schools in targeted partner countries and beyond.
2.Establishing a multinational peer review board (MPRB).
3.Establishing and building consistency for a continuous peer-review process of academic programs and processes and administrative policies, procedures and actions across the targeted partner countries and beyond.
4.Capacity building of faculty members and administrative staff in: a. conducting effective self assessment tasks; and b. peer reviewing of their vis-à-vis.
5.Establishing an annual scientific-practical journal of “Peer Review in Medical/Health Education for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (PRIMED-EECA)”.
6.Enhancing internationalization of HEIs in partner countries.
7.Disseminating the information on project achievements and other final products (actual review reports, PRIMED-EECA, case-reports, recommendations, etc.) to participant institutions in program and partner countries as well as respective ministries and national agencies concerned about health/education in EECA at large.
In the framework of the project multinational peer review board (MPRB) will be established.
KazNMU created project working group, and assigned activities to work group members :
1.Kosherbayeva Lyazzat Kosherbaevna – project coordinator, PRC team member, responsible for teaching faculty and staff of the University on educational program peer review process, work in international accreditation team.
2.Bayldinova Klara Zhenisovna Байльдинова – researcher of the project, member of MPRB, will take part in development and dissemination of создания PRAMED-EECA , member of PRC team, member of team responsible for teaching faculty and staff of the University on educational program peer review process.
3.Abikulova Akmaral Kanatovna – researcher of the project, member of PRC team, исследователь проекта, член команды экспертной оценки (PRCs), member of team responsible for teaching faculty and staff of the University on educational program peer review process, work in international accreditation team.
4.Tusupbekova Sandugash Kayratovna – researcher of the project, member of PRC team, исследователь проекта, член команды экспертной оценки (PRCs), member of team responsible for teaching faculty and staff of the University on educational program peer review process, work in international accreditation team.
5.Khozhamkul Rabiga Altaykyzy – administrator of the project, responsible for dissemination in MSM, site, Facebook.
