Outpatient Oncology

The module generates knowledge and practical skills related to the polyclinic, medical examination in Oncology practice. The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills in the organization of preventive examinations and screening.

Clinical immunology in Oncology

Number of credits – 8
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills on the specific and non-specific immune response of the theory of carcinogenesis. The regularities and roles of factors that activate and inhibit oncogenes are considered. The discipline studies the features of an integrated approach to the problem of cytotoxicity.

Clinical and laboratory diagnostics in Oncology

Number of credits – 6
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills on clinical and biochemical changes in the blood of cancer patients. The discipline studies the effect of chemotherapy on laboratory data indicators.

Intensive care in Oncology

Number of credits – 9
The discipline forms knowledge related to the features of anesthesiological support in cancer patients. Develops practical skills of intensive care in acute emergency conditions in cancer patients.

Medical genetics in Oncology

Number of credits – 6
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills related to modern concepts of oncogenes and their role in the tumor process, the basics of immunogenetics.

Radiation diagnostics in Oncology

Number of credits – 7
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills related to the role and place of radiation methods. Algorithms for constructing diagnostic research in tumors are considered.

Functional diagnostics in Oncology

Number of credits – 6
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills on the theoretical basis of assessing the functional state of organs, systems and the whole body of patients with malignant neoplasms

Rehabilitation in Oncology

Number of credits – 6
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills related to the organization, structure and standard of the cancer service of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The discipline considers the issues of conducting rehabilitation measures for concomitant pathology

Palliative Oncology

The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills related to the organization of palliative care in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The discipline studies the modern approach and principles of palliative treatment.

Pathomorphological diagnostics

The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills on pathological research in a cancer clinic. Relationship between the degree of malignancy and tumor differentiation. The discipline studies the issues of immunohistochemical research

Radiation therapy

Number of credits – 10
The discipline forms knowledge and practical skills related to the current state of radiation therapy in the world and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The questions of pre-beam topometric preparation are considered.

Oncology in the hospital

Number of credits – 47
The module forms knowledge about classifications, principles of modern diagnostics and treatment of malignant tumors of the chest, abdomen, head and neck, bones, soft tissues, lymphomas, oncogynecological, oncourological diseases. The skills of choosing and using modern therapy are studied and formed.
