Description: The elective discipline is destined for more complete training of the student in methods of direct examination of children and adults with the most common diseases of internal organs, correct interpretation of the obtained physical data with justification of the preliminary diagnosis and writing a medical history; conducting a physical examination according to the Calgary Cambridge model and the use of basic communication skills: collecting information, commenting, feedback, informing and planning.

Description: The formation of students` knowledge and skills in the prevention and control of infections associated with the provision of medical care, including epidemiological surveillance and standard precautions aimed at improving the safety of patients and medical workers and improving the quality of medical care at the outpatient and inpatient levels, taking into account the main regulatory legal documents on epidemiological aspects and infection prevention.

Description: Formation of students` knowledge and practical skills in carrying out various operational accesses and techniques; study of dangers and complications during surgery, development of methods for their prevention; working out the basic rules of the technique of tying various types of knots, mastering the skills of forming knots with the help of tools and during endoscopic operations.

Description: Formation of basic knowledge about modern methods in medical genetics: interpretation of the results of each method for the early diagnosis of congenital malformations and hereditary pathology, family planning, calculation of the risk of recurrence of the disease in the family, reduction of congenital malformations, chromosomal and hereditary pathology and the development of an individualized approach to identify, treatment and prevention of diseases.

Description: The elective discipline is designed to increase knowledge in modern vaccinology and covers the study of the basics of immunoprophylaxis of the infectious process; organization of vaccination, safety of immunization, vaccines of the National Immunization Schedule; to teach the skill of evidence-based fact-checking for successful interaction with the population on immunization issues, taking into account the ethical issues of organizing and conducting vaccination of different contingents of the population.
