Annual report of the Testing Center for 2010-2011

For 2010-2011 winter and summer examination session period on the base of KazNMU Academic council decision of 17.05.2010, order № 1 in the testing centre there was held the 1^st examination stage of the 1^st – 6^th  courses of all faculties by computer testing: sessional examinations, block examinations, state examinations and other types of controlling students’ knowledge.

Forms of students’ knowledge control were the followings:

1. Current – colloquium;
2. Mid term – semester and half-yearly attestations, credit tests;
3. Final – differential credit tests, examinations, state examinations;
4. Control of residual students’ knowledge on disciplines of the previous course;
5. Testing the attendants of KazNMU PTS advanced courses, contests.

For the period of 2010-2011 academic year 58779 students (the 1^st stage examination) passed all kinds of knowledge control in the testing centre. Bank of tests in all disciplines accounted 495668 ones, out of them 234943 – in Kazakh language, 257058 – in Russian language, 3667 – in English language. Time for testing was 1 minute per one question. Computer time for academic year per 1 student was at average from 95 to 125 hours.
